Signature welcomes Le Roye van der Merwe to the restaurant as their new head chef.
Le Roye hails from Roodepoort and has always had a passion for food. After his High School education he moved to Stellenbosch to further his studies. Le Roye qualified at The Institute of Culinary Arts and also received his International CHEF- BAKING, PASTRIES and CONFECTIONARY diploma.
He has worked under the mentorship of several well-known chefs such as Mathew Gordon and Stephen Billingham. He has also gained experience by ‘cheffing’ on yachts, cooking for the rich and famous from places such as Europe and America to The Caribbean. We are honoured to have him on board with us at Signature.
